360º Video/VR opens up a world of new possibilities allowing you to communicate with your clients in a much more engaging way. We are here to guide you through this new medium by producing immersive experiences tailored to your needs and which will help you connect with your audiences in a more engaging way.
What is 360º Video?
It is often called ‘spherical video’ or ‘360-degree video ‘ (360º Video) and it allows the viewer to interact with the content rather than just watching it in a more passive way. The footage is shot omnidirectionally using a collection of cameras and when viewed back lets the viewer choose where to look, making you feel much more present in the action as it covers your entire field of vision.
How Can I View It?
360º videos can be viewed on your computer or mobile device, although a headset does give you a more immersive experience. YouTube now has a whole channel dedicated to 360º videos. You can explore the video in all directions with a few simple gestures of your mouse. On a desktop, you can click and drag with a mouse or click the arrows in the upper left corner of the screen. On a mobile device, you can drag your finger across the screen or move it around in different directions.
Is 360º Video Right For Me?
While this is still a relatively new format, there has been a growing adoption of this new and exciting format. YouTube now has a whole channel dedicated to 360 Video, while the Discovery Channel and The New York Times have also invested in creating immersive video content. 360 videos have a 29% higher viewing rate than standard fixed video and encourage viewers to not only click but also creates greater engagement resulting in longer viewing times – the internet is no longer flat! Just as brands have had to make their websites responsive for mobile, they will now have to make them responsive for 360 Video/VR, as the Internet is now a place of immersion.
